Jodi Oosthuizen

Jodi joined Farleys in April 2019 as a Commercial Executive at the Shadsworth office, before commencing her training contract in September 2019 and qualifying into the Firm’s Corporate and Commercial Team in September 2021. Prior to her qualification, Jodi undertook seats within the Corporate, Personal Injury and Commercial Litigation Teams, having spent the majority of her training contract working within Corporate realms.

Jodi has acted for a broad range of clients across the SME market on a variety of matters, including company start-ups and formations, mergers, acquisitions and disposals, corporate restructures, share option and incentive schemes, management buy-outs, joint ventures and reorganisations.

Jodi assists the Corporate Team in acting for businesses who operate within the healthcare market and has a particular interest in advising clients operating in the optics industry on a range of matters including the sale and purchase of their practices.

Jodi also has a keen interest in commercial contracts matters, including advising on terms and conditions, software, equipment, licencing and IP agreements, consumer contracts and collaboration agreements.

Prior to joining Farleys, Jodi spent a year working within the Corporate department of a regional law firm. Jodi graduated from Edge Hill University with an LLB Honours in Law in 2017 and was later awarded a post-graduate diploma in the Legal Practice Course, and a Master of Science in Law, Business and Management by the University of Law in 2019.

Outside of work, Jodi enjoys keeping fit and active. She is a regular gym-goer and enjoys exploring either the countryside with her dog most weekends, or the nearest gin bar.
