Role: Legal Typist

Location:  Manchester City Centre

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience

Farleys Solicitors LLP is looking to recruit an experienced full-time Legal Typist to work in the firm’s Abuse and Inquests department, based in Manchester City Centre.

This role would suit someone who has either worked as a legal secretary and enjoys the typing / document production side of the role or someone has worked within a busy typist role.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent typing abilities;
  • A good telephone manner;
  • Excellent organisation skills;
  • A full working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes;
  • An enthusiastic and flexible approach to work.

Previous experience working as a legal secretary is advantageous but not a prerequisite for the role.

Trainee Solicitor

An opportunity has arisen at Farleys for a Trainee Solicitor to join the firm from September 2018.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to undertake a training contract which will allow them the autonomy and responsibility to conduct matters and files from start to conclusion with supervision.

The training contract will consist of three or four different seats which will require the Trainee Solicitor to be based at any of our six offices across  Lancashire and Manchester

The successful candidate must:

  • have successfully completed and passed their LPC
  • have the ability to use their own initiative
  • have a high standard of verbal and written communication
  • have excellent interpersonal and client care skills
  • Full, clean driving licence.
