The firm has been ever expanding since its beginnings in 1958 and now spans across six offices in Greater Manchester and Lancashire (Blackburn, Preston, Manchester, Shadsworth, Burnley, and Accrington), employing more than 140 members of staff.

Commercial Property Solicitor – 3 Vacancies – Preston/Manchester/Blackburn

We have recently pledged to invest in the growth of the firm through a number of opportunities across our offices which has led to three exciting roles within our commercial property teams based out of Preston, Manchester, and our commercial offices in Blackburn.

If you are a commercial property solicitor with 1 – 5 years PQE, you could be the ideal candidate for our latest vacancies.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential
• a proven track record in commercial property
• experience dealing with business leases, sales and purchases, and financial lending.
• strong technical expertise
• excellent client care and interpersonal skills

Desirable
• 1 – 5 years PQE (other levels of experience may be considered)

Property Assistant – Shadsworth (Blackburn)

Due to the continuous growth of the Commercial Property department at Farleys Solicitors LLP, we are currently looking to recruit an Administration Assistant to join our award winning team at our Commercial office at Shadsworth Business Park in Blackburn.

The role would suit someone who is looking to start out their career in law, getting real, on the job, experience in our busy property team.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential
• Willingness to learn;
• Be proactive and personable

Desirable
• 1+ years of administrative or property experience would be ideal but not essential

We’re looking for someone who will work as part of a wider team to deliver exceptional client experience. As a property assistant, you will provide support to our busy property team by way of general administration and legal support. You will receive full training and support in the role.

Corporate Solicitor – 2 vacancies – Blackburn/Preston

As a result of our recent growth pledge, we are investing in two further solicitor positions within the firm’s corporate department. We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced corporate solicitors to join the growing teams in Preston and our commercial offices in Blackburn.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential
• experience of, and an interest in, asset and share sales and acquisitions, MBO’s and investments
• strong technical expertise
• excellent client care and interpersonal skills

Desirable
• 2 – 5 years PQE (other levels of experience may be considered)
• Experience working with a wide range of clients; from smaller, entrepreneurial clients to large PLC’s.

Paralegal – Manchester

Following our move to bigger office space in Manchester city centre, our teams are expanding. This has led to an excellent opportunity arising within Farleys’ Abuse and Inquests department.

If you are looking to begin your legal career as a paralegal, you could be the perfect fit for our latest vacancy.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential
• Excellent organisational skills
• The ability to work well as part of a team

As a paralegal, you will be working alongside the Head of Department to help manage a significant caseload. Past experience is not essential and the role may suit a candidate pursuing GDL and LPC on a part-time basis.

Administrative Assistant/Junior Secretary – Manchester

Based in the heart of the city centre, offering easy access by car, foot or public transport, our Manchester office is looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant/Junior Secretary to join the firm’s nationally renowned Abuse and Inquests department.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential
• Strong organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Motivation
• Desire to begin a career in the legal sector

Desirable
• Excellent typing abilities
• A full working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes

Past experience is not essential. Daily duties will include general administrative duties such as filing, dealing with post and some typing.

As Farleys’ team in Preston continues to expand, we present our latest vacancy within our offices on Winckley Square. We are looking for an experienced medical negligence solicitor to deal with an interesting and varied caseload including complex, high value matters.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent client care
• Great interpersonal skills

Training Contracts

Please note: Applications for training contracts commencing in September 2019 have now closed. Applications for training contracts commencing in September 2020 will open in late 2019 – Date TBC.
