The firm has been ever expanding since its beginnings in 1958 and now spans across six offices in Greater Manchester and Lancashire (Blackburn, Preston, Manchester, Shadsworth, Burnley, and Accrington), employing more than 140 members of staff.

Property Assistant – Shadsworth (Blackburn)

Due to the continuous growth of the Commercial Property department at Farleys Solicitors LLP, we are currently looking to recruit an Administration Assistant to join our award winning team at our Commercial office at Shadsworth Business Park in Blackburn.

The role would suit someone who is looking to start out their career in law, getting real, on the job, experience in our busy property team.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential
• Willingness to learn;
• Be proactive and personable

Desirable
• 1+ years of administrative or property experience would be ideal but not essential

We’re looking for someone who will work as part of a wider team to deliver exceptional client experience. As a property assistant, you will provide support to our busy property team by way of general administration and legal support. You will receive full training and support in the role.

Corporate Solicitor – 2 vacancies – Blackburn/Preston

As a result of our recent growth pledge, we are investing in two further solicitor positions within the firm’s corporate department. We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced corporate solicitors to join the growing teams in Preston and our commercial offices in Blackburn.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential
• experience of, and an interest in, asset and share sales and acquisitions, MBO’s and investments
• strong technical expertise
• excellent client care and interpersonal skills

Desirable
• 2 – 5 years PQE (other levels of experience may be considered)
• Experience working with a wide range of clients; from smaller, entrepreneurial clients to large PLC’s.

Administrative Assistant/Junior Secretary – Manchester

Based in the heart of the city centre, offering easy access by car, foot or public transport, our Manchester office is looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant/Junior Secretary to join the firm’s nationally renowned Abuse and Inquests department.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential
• Strong organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Motivation
• Desire to begin a career in the legal sector

Desirable
• Excellent typing abilities
• A full working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes

Past experience is not essential. Daily duties will include general administrative duties such as filing, dealing with post and some typing.

Personal Injury Solicitor - Blackburn

As Farleys’ teams continue to expand, we present our latest vacancy within our offices. We are looking for an experienced personal injury solicitor to deal with an interesting and varied caseload including complex, high value matters.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3-5 years PQE
• Some experience of medical negligence cases (applicants without medical negligence experience will still be considered)
• Strong technical expertise
• Excellent client care
• Great interpersonal skills

Administrative Assistant – Private Client – Shadsworth

Our Private Client department are looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant to join our busy and rapidly expanding Court of Protection team. This is an administrative role supporting the fee earner who manages the caseload.

The successful candidate will:

Essential
• Be proactive
• Able to work as part of a team
• Have the confidence to also work alone
• Remain calm under pressure

Desirable
• Knowledge or experience of the Court of Protection and its procedures
• Knowledge of the current benefits system

This role may also suit someone who is currently working in a solicitors practice and is looking for a new challenge in this area of law.

The role is currently based at our offices at Shadsworth, Blackburn where you will enjoy modern open plan office and free parking on site.

Personal Injury Secretary - Blackburn

Farleys Solicitors are looking to recruit an experienced full-time Personal Injury Secretary to work in the firm’s Civil Law department, based at Blackburn.

The successful candidate will have:
• A good understanding and experience of the MOJ Portal and Medco;
• Experience of setting up cases in the portal;
• Excellent typing abilities;
• A good telephone manner;
• Excellent organisation skills;
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software;
• An enthusiastic and flexible approach to work as part of a team.
• Previous experience working as an audio legal secretary in Personal Injury is a necessity for the role.
