David joined Farleys in 2008 and works in the firm’s actions against detaining authorities department specialising in claims against the police and inquests.
He is highly experienced in a wide range of public law and civil liberties matters, specialising in Human Rights Act Article 2 inquests, public inquiries and judicial reviews, working with some of the country’s leading professionals in this area.
David was part of the legal team that, represented the family of Anthony Grainger, who was shot by an officer of Greater Manchester Police. This is only the second time in England and Wales that a Public Inquiry has been set up to examine a fatal police shooting and drew national coverage.
