Cookie Policy

Updated June 2026

This Cookie Policy provides information about the types of cookies and other similar technology that Farleys uses and why we use them.

1. What are cookies?

1.1 Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website.

1.2 We also use related technologies such as scripts, pixels and local storage cookies.

1.3 Cookies and other similar technology help operate, secure and improve our website, measure performance, and—only with your consent—support analytics and advertising.

1.4 For further information on cookies generally, including how to control and manage them, visit the guidance on cookies published by the ICO, www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.

2. Which cookies do we use?

2.1 We use Cookiebot as our Consent Management Platform (CMP).

2.2 Cookiebot displays the following cookie categories in our banner

2.2.1 Necessary: Necessary cookies help make a website usable by enabling basic functions like page navigation and access to secure areas of the website. The website cannot function properly without these cookies. Necessary cookies do not require consent.

2.2.2 Preferences: Preference cookies enable a website to remember information that changes the way the website behaves or looks, like your preferred language or the region that you are in.

2.2.3 Statistics: Statistic cookies help website owners to understand how visitors interact with websites by collecting and reporting information anonymously.

2.2.4 Marketing: Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites. The intention is to display ads that are relevant and engaging for the individual user and thereby more valuable for publishers and third-party advertisers. Accepting marketing cookies may also trigger call tracking software that records and transcribes phone calls for marketing attribution purposes.

2.2.5 Unclassified: Unclassified cookies are those that we are in the process of categorising, together with the providers of individual cookies

2.3 You can find more information about the individual cookies we use and the purposes for which we use them by clicking on the paperclip icon in the bottom left-hand corner of your browser, selecting Change your consent, and then clicking on the ‘Details‘ tab.

2.4 Cookiebot provides more detail on each cookie, including cookie storage lifetimes, which vary by provider. Specific durations are published in the Cookiebot details tab and update automatically whenever technologies change.

2.5 Third‑party Cookies

Please note that third parties (including, for example, advertising networks and providers of external services like web traffic analysis services) may also use cookies, over which we have no control. These cookies are likely to be statistical or marketing cookies.

Our site also includes embedded ‘share’ buttons to enable users of the site to easily share articles through a number of popular social networks, for example, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) or LinkedIn. These websites may set a cookie if you click through. We do not control the dissemination of these cookies, and you should check the relevant third-party website for more information about these.

2.6 Other technologies in addition to cookies

Web server & application logs: Our servers automatically collect certain information to help us administer and protect our website, analyse usage, and improve users’ experience. The information collected includes:

  • IP address and browser type
  • Device information, including Unique Device Identifier (UDID), MAC address, Identifier For Advertisers (IFA), and similar identifiers we or others may assign
  • Device operating system and other technical facts
  • The city and country from which you access our website
  • Pages visited and content viewed, stored, and purchased
  • Information or text entered
  • Links and buttons clicked
  • URLs visited before and after you use the features

2.7 “Do Not Track” Signals: Some browsers transmit Do Not Track (DNT) signals to websites. Due to the lack of a common interpretation of DNT signals throughout the industry, we do not currently alter, change or respond to DNT requests or signals from these browsers. We continue to monitor industry activity in this area and reassess our current DNT practices as necessary.

3. How to manage Cookie consent

3.1 Cookie consent can be managed via the cookies pop-up that appears when you first visit any page on our website or by clicking on the paperclip icon that appears in the bottom left-hand corner of your browser. You can change your cookie settings at any point via the icon.

3.2 If you want to opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites, visit http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

4. Further information

Please contact us by email at [email protected] if you have any questions about this policy or the information we hold about you. Further details, such as how we process your personal data and your data protection rights, can also be found in our Privacy Notice.
