- SMEs with or without internal HR systems
- Businesses with limited HR capabilities/capacity
- Rapidly growing companies that need HR support
- Owner-managed businesses that want regular, predictable costs
If HR matters are consuming time and resources, or you need confidence that your decisions are legally sound, HR Advantage gives you the expert support to act decisively.
What’s included in Farleys HR Advantage package?
HR Advantage covers a range of benefits that our team can provide, including:
Direct access to our specialist solicitors for a range of day-to-day issues
You’ll have direct access to our specialist employment solicitors for guidance on the issues that arise most frequently in business. This includes sickness, performance and conduct matters, disciplinary and grievance processes, flexible working requests, family leave and absence management, and redundancy or restructuring for fewer than 20 employees.
Drafting of HR documents
We review and draft the letters and documents you need to handle HR matters correctly and consistently. This includes invite and outcome letters for disciplinary or grievance processes, and settlement agreements where appropriate. We may ask businesses to produce initial drafts of documents and letters, and we can then review them and amend if necessary. We may do this to ensure letters are factually accurate and are consistent with your business’ tone and approach, and that the letter writers are aware of and happy with their content.
Contract and handbook health check
We’ll provide a health check/audit of your contracts of employment, staff handbook and employment policies and procedures. This ensures your documentation is legally compliant and fit for purpose. The purpose of the health check is to identify where the documentation may not be legally compliant and make recommendations only.
HR and employment law email updates
You’ll have access to our HR and employment law email updates to keep you up to date with HR and employment law news and developments.
Face-to-face or conference calls for HR and employment law advice
We give you the option to choose whether you prefer to meet with us face-to-face or have conference calls to receive HR and employment law advice. Whatever works best for you and your situation.
Optional extras
We offer insurance options to protect your business, an add on you can include in your package for a layer of security.
Employment tribunal insurance
Adding Employment Tribunal Insurance can add another level of stability to your plan in the event of your business receiving an ET1/employment claim from the Employment Tribunal. It’ll cover things like legal fees, compensation and settlement from the ACAS Early Conciliation stage, giving you a little more peace of mind. You’ll also have continued support from your solicitor through the Tribunal process, ensuring you always feel comfortable, and your interests will always be a priority to us.
Expert advice you can rely on
We know that you want your business to run as smoothly as possible. The advice provided by our knowledgeable, qualified employment solicitors is legally robust and commercially focused from the start. As well, you can feel safe and secure in the knowledge that with added protection of legal advice privilege, any guidance we give will always be confidential and is not allowed to be disclosed during tribunal proceedings.
Your business will become our priority, and each business is different, meaning we don’t follow a ‘one size fits all’ approach, with advice being aligned with commercial objectives in mind. Responses will be tailored to meet your individual needs and the advisor(s) working on your case will get to know your business, enabling them to offer the support you need.
You can rely on responsive support via telephone, email, Teams or in-person and we will always strive to offer solutions that are aimed at avoiding disputes and building on culture quickly and efficiently.
