Background
Mr R was struck by a car driver who was not paying attention to the road and failed to see Mr R when pulling out from a side road.
Mr R was taken to hospital by ambulance. He suffered extensive orthopaedic injuries including a fractured leg, back, pelvis, and arm. He had to have numerous operations and remained in hospital for over a week.
As a result of the accident, Mr R found that his life was dramatically changed by the actions of a negligent car driver. He was unable to pursue his chosen career.

Nick appointed ten different medical experts to prepare reports in relation to Mr R’s injuries. An employment consultant was appointed to prepare a report in relation to the impact of this accident upon Mr R’s career and to give him an understanding of the opportunities that lay ahead of him.
It was necessary to issue court proceedings for Mr R and, following a round table meeting, a mutually agreed settlement was reached with Mr R recovering damages of over £200,000.
