Mr N approached the personal injury team at Farleys about the possibility of making a claim for compensation after he was injured in a motorcycle accident.
Mr N was riding his motorcycle in Blackburn, Lancashire, on the day of the accident. While stationary at the junction to a main road, a vehicle previously parked to the left of the junction attempted to reverse their vehicle around the corner and collided with Mr N. This caused him and his motorcycle to become trapped.
Mr N suffered soft tissue injury to both legs with swelling and bruising over the ankles and on the top of his feet.
How Farleys Were Able to Help
Mr N instructed Jade Jump, personal injury specialist at Farleys, to act on his behalf in a claim against the driver’s insurance company.
Thankfully, on this occasion, there were no issues with liability which the driver’s insurers admitted straight away.
Jade instructed medical experts to assess the extent of Mr N’s injuries, the impact on his everyday life, and the timescales for recovery in order to value the claim and enter into negotiations with the driver’s insurers.
The medical reports established that Mr N’s injuries would settle within 6 months of the date of the accident which was the case.
Jade then entered into negotiations for a settlement with the insurers eventually securing a total of £3,500. An excellent settlement for this type of claim and one which Mr N was satisfied to accept. The damages covered Mr N’s pain and suffering, and his travel expenses for medical appointments.
This was a relatively straightforward motorcycle accident claim which we are highly experienced in handling. We’re delighted to have secured this compensation for Mr N, which will allow him closure on his experience. We wish him all the best.
