The family law department at Farleys Solicitors has demonstrated a strong beginning to the financial year with the appointment of a new Equity Partner. Family lawyer Ian Brunt has been awarded partnership after joining the firm in 2012 from Haworth and Nuttall Solicitors. Ian joins fellow family law Partner Antonia Love to assist in implementing the growth strategy of the firm’s already thriving family law department.
Based at the firm’s Accrington office, Ian is a highly regarded Solicitor and is a well respected Resolution Accredited Specialist and Member of the Law Society’s Children Panel. During his time at the firm, Ian has gained a notable reputation, particularly for his work involving complex and high value divorce proceedings, as well as advising on specialist child law matters.
Ian’s appointment is further recognition of his work for the family law team; his expertise and knowledge regarding the emotive issues surrounding child law and he has assisted the department in developing its reputation in what is a highly complex and specialist area.
With over twenty years’ experience across a broad spectrum of family law matters, the appointment of Ian Brunt will further add to the strength and future success of both the department and the firm.
Family Law Partner Antonia Love commented:
“We are delighted that Ian has joined the partnership. Despite significant cut backs to legal aid in recent years, Farleys’ family law team has continued to flourish, as Ian’s appointment goes to demonstrate.”
Ian, who lives in Lancaster and works out of Farleys’ Accrington office, added:
“It has been a difficult few years for family lawyers but the continued growth at Farleys throughout this period is a very encouraging sign. I am pleased that I now jointly manage the strongest family law department in Lancashire and hope to use my local ties in Lancaster to help expand the department’s reach across North Lancashire and the South Lakes”.
