Partner, Paul Corrigan will be taking part in the 35th Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday 26th April 2015. The famous yet gruelling 26.2 mile race will test competitors both mentally and psychically as thousands of runners take to the streets of London, many in aid of their chosen charities.
No stranger to a marathon experience since joining Farleys, London will be Paul’s 4th Marathon having previously competed in the New York City Marathon 2008 (Time – 04:35:21), London Marathon 2011 (03:26:27)and the Berlin Marathon 2013 (03:28:48) helping to raise much needed funds for Cystic Fibrosis Trust and the Down’s Syndrome Association. This year Paul will be donning his running shoes in aid of the Cancer Research UK Charity Team.
To raise money for Cancer Research UK Paul has arranged an in house sweepstake across the entire firm, inviting members from each of our offices to pay a minimum donation of £2 to guess the time he will achieve in this year’s London Marathon. The person who guesses the time correctly will win £50 with the remainder of the money raised going directly to Cancer Research UK.
Paul Corrigan, Partner and Abuse Claims specialist commented on the challenge: “Having competed in the London Marathon and similar long distance events before I know what to expect to a certain extent, although you can never predict what will happen on the day. Although getting older and no fitter as the years pass, I am assured by many of my colleagues that my experience will count!
“Cancer affects everyone in some way and hopefully the money I raise will go a long way in helping to fund the research that we so desperately need.”
