Farleys has been announced as one of the headline sponsors of the forthcoming Blackburn Beer Festival. The three day event, which will take place over the May Day bank holiday weekend (2nd – 4th May), will raise funds for local charity Blackburn Youth Zone.
Ian Liddle, Commercial Partner at Farleys commented:
“Farleys wanted to help bring a festival to Blackburn as it was a real shame that there wasn’t already something like this in our town, especially after seeing how successful festivals are in other places. And we’ve chosen the youth charity Blackburn Youth Zone to benefit from all proceeds so it’s definitely a worthwhile venture.”
Thwaites Brewery has also signed up to be involved in the event and will help to bring over 60 real ales to Blackburn Rugby Club to be sampled over the course of the festival.
A number of other local businesses have already been announced as sponsors for the event and there are plenty of other opportunities for people to get involved – either by way of sponsoring a barrel of beer, volunteering to help behind the bar, or simply attending to sample the ale!
