The team at Farleys recently teamed up with Rawtenstall fashion retailer Sunday Best to host a fashion event and raised £1,800 for local charity the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
The fundraising evening included a catwalk presentation by Jill Pollit, one of the UK’s leading fashion stylists who has worked with Gok Wan on his ‘How to Look Good Naked’ programme and ITV’s This Morning. Jill presented the trends for Summer 2014 using Sunday Best’s latest collection and featured five models of various body shapes and ages, including Farleys’ very own Philippa Higson, who showed the audience how to get the right look, whatever your age or body shape.
The event was attended by 50 businesswomen from across East Lancashire and Rossendale.
Sue Thompson, Chief Officer at Rosemere commented: “Once again Farleys and Sunday Best got together to stage a fabulous evening of fashion and fizz to raise much needed funds for local cancer patients. The Rosemere Cancer Foundation relies on events like this to help fund projects that really do make a difference to patients and their families and we are very grateful to all involved.”
Antonia Love, Head of Family Law at Farleys added: “When we held this event last year, we thought it would be a one-off, but we were asked so many times by those who had attended previously if the event was happening again this year, we felt we had to oblige!
“We are delighted to have been able to raise money for Rosemere Cancer Foundation – they are a super charity and we know the funds will be put to great use. We would like to extend our thanks to all of the ladies who attended and the organisations who were so kind and generous with raffle prizes”.
Raffle prizes for the event were kindly donated by Stanley House Spa, Chapels Spa, Northcote at the Rovers, Kings Chambers, T. Wright Wines, i-florist (who also provided two fabulous floral displays), Live Magazines and Sunday Best.
