Armin Pishro, who joined the firm as a commercial executive before securing a place on Farleys’ training programme, has been appointed to The Football Association’s (FA) National Serious Case Panel for the upcoming 2025/26 season.
This appointment follows Armin’s earlier selection to the FA’s Regional Disciplinary Panel in February 2025, where he has contributed to upholding the integrity and fairness of grassroots football across the region. His progression to the National Serious Case Panel reflects both his expertise and commitment to the game.
The FA’s National Serious Case Panel plays a vital role in adjudicating the most complex and sensitive disciplinary matters in English football. These cases often involve allegations of serious misconduct, including breaches of FA Rule E3, which covers improper conduct such as abusive language, and aggravated breaches under FA Rule E3.2, which relate to discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, and other protected characteristics.
Panel members are selected for their independence, legal acumen, and understanding of football governance. They are tasked with reviewing evidence, conducting hearings, and issuing written decisions that uphold the standards of behaviour expected across all levels of the sport. The panel’s work is essential in maintaining trust and transparency in the FA’s disciplinary processes.
Armin’s appointment is a testament to his professional integrity and legal insight. His experience in regulatory and disciplinary matters, gained from his work as a paralegal and trainee solicitor in the commercial litigation and insolvency team, combined with a deep appreciation for the values of sport, makes him well-suited to contribute meaningfully to the panel’s work.
Speaking on the appointment, Armin said:
It’s an honour to be selected for the National Serious Case Panel. Football has always been a passion of mine, and I’m proud to play a part in ensuring the game remains fair, inclusive, and respectful for everyone involved.
