Farleys Solicitors LLP acted on behalf of Mr. X who was involved in a road traffic accident. The accident occurred when Mr. X was driving his motor vehicle on quiet country roads, close to Barley at the foot of Pendle Hill. As Mr. X was correctly proceeding, a vehicle being driven by the Defendant pulled out of a side road, without stopping and giving priority to Mr. X’s correctly proceeding vehicle, giving Mr. X no time to stop before hitting the Defendant on his driver’s side.
Lancashire Constabulary attended at the scene of the accident to make sure that all Parties were okay and ensured that details were exchanged between the Parties.
Following the accident Mr. X attended the same day at the Accident and Emergency Department of Burnley General Hospital. Mr. X was complaining of whiplash type pains in his neck and pain in his lower back, as well as pain in his chest. Mr. X was told by the Hospital Staff to take Cocodamol and Ibuprofen.
How Farleys Were Able To Help
Mr. X realised that the accident was not his fault and instructed his Solicitor, Nicholas Molyneux, at Farleys Solicitors LLP to act on his behalf in recovering compensation for the injuries he had suffered in the accident.
Details of the accident were submitted to the Defendant’s Insurance Company via the Ministry of Justice Streamlined Procedure and liability for the accident was admitted immediately.
Mr. X underwent a medical examination by the appropriate expert local to Mr. X, who produced a Report detailing his injuries.
Farleys then advised Mr. X as to the appropriate value of his claim for injuries, which were continuing to affect him and were preventing him from undertaking his pre-accident hobbies of walking and crown green bowling.
An offer of settlement was put forward to the Defendant’s Insurers and damages were recovered for Mr. X in excess of £5,000. Mr. X was delighted with the outcome of the case.
