Farleys Solicitors, one of Lancashire’s longest-established and most respected law firms, is proud to announce its new partnership with Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone as a Patron. This collaboration reflects the firm’s deep-rooted commitment to supporting the local community and investing in the next generation across East Lancashire.
The announcement follows a landmark moment for Farleys: the official opening of its new East Lancashire flagship office. The grand opening event, held on Thursday 10th July at Shuttleworth Mead Business Park in Padiham, welcomed more than 100 guests including clients, partners, and key contacts. The state-of-the-art office represents a significant milestone in Farleys’ 65-year history, marking a renewed commitment to delivering excellence for its clients, colleagues, and the wider community.
Founded more than six decades ago, Farleys has grown to become one of the leading law firms in the region, renowned for its expertise across a wide range of legal disciplines—from services supporting individuals and families to comprehensive commercial legal solutions for businesses. The investment in their new flagship office showcases the firm’s ongoing growth, innovation, and dedication to Lancashire.
Becoming a Patron of Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone strengthens this commitment even further. The Youth Zone provides thousands of young people aged 5 to 19—and up to 25 with employability support – with a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space. With free membership, free entry, and a free hot meal for all 5,000 members, the Youth Zone delivers life-changing opportunities across skills development, aspirations, and health and well-being. Support from Patrons like Farleys helps the charity meet over £2.6 million in annual running costs.
Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone has recently expanded its impact through Babyzone, its early-years offer supporting families with children aged 0–5. Delivered across six UK locations in partnership with Public Health Blackburn, Home-Start, Perinatal Mental Health, Family Hubs, and Little Kickers, Babyzone is one of the first programmes of its kind in the Youth Zone network.
Reta Rose, Partner & Head of Operations at Farleys Solicitors said:
“Farleys has been a part of the Blackburn community since its very inception, and we’ve been proud to have supported Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone over the years – headline sponsor of Blackburn Beer Festival being just one of the initiatives and fundraisers we’ve been involved in. Becoming a Patron is a natural extension of our long-standing commitment to the Youth Zone and the wider community.
As we open our new East Lancashire flagship office, we’re proud to invest not just in our future as a firm, but in the future of young people across the borough. We’re passionate about inspiring the next generation and The Youth Zone plays an essential role in helping them build skills, confidence, and brighter futures”.
Wayne Wild MBE, Chairman of Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone, added:
“We are delighted to welcome Farleys Solicitors as a Patron. Their support enables us to continue expanding our reach and delivering vital services to young people and families across Blackburn and Darwen. We encourage other local businesses to join this network and be part of shaping the next generation.”
The Youth Zone has also recently launched its Aspirations, Skills, and Progression Hub, funded by the Youth Investment Fund (YIF). This new facility offers hands-on training, employability workshops, career guidance, and real-life work experience—empowering young people with the tools and confidence they need to succeed long-term.
Farleys’ support will help ensure these programmes continue to grow and thrive, creating meaningful opportunities and better futures for young people across the region.
