Farleys held their annual golf day at Pleasington Golf Club on Wednesday 23rd July. This year, alongside the friendly competition and camaraderie, funds were also raised for Lancashire Mind.

Forty enthusiastic golfers made up of clients, contacts, and friends of Farleys gathered at Pleasington Golf Club for a day of golf on the stunning course followed by food and refreshments in the clubhouse.

To introduce further competition alongside the usual race to be the top placed team, several additional titles were up for grabs. These included ‘Longest Drive’, ‘Straightest Drive’ and a charity hole where participants took part in a “Nearest to the Pin” challenge. With every precise swing, players not only vied for the coveted title but also contributed directly to Lancashire Mind’s essential work across the county.

Lancashire Mind, a leading local mental health organisation, strives to ensure that no one in Lancashire needs to face a mental health problem alone. Their services encompass community projects, educational programmes, and personal support tailored to children, young people, adults, and workplaces. By promoting positive mental health, increasing awareness, and providing practical support, Lancashire Mind empowers residents to build resilience and live well.

In total, £700 was raised by generous participants.

Reflecting on the success of the event, Mark Hague, Partner at Farleys Solicitors, commented: “The Farleys Golf Day was another resounding success. We’d like to thank all of our guests for joining us for an enjoyable day of golf as well as their generosity in raising funds for Lancashire Mind.

“We’re proud to back a charity that offers such vital support, especially during times when mental health needs are ever-increasing.”

Stephen Bolton, Business Development Manager at Farleys, added: “We were delighted with the turnout and generosity shown on the day. We’re proud of the relationship we’re building with Lancashire Mind, as their work touches so many lives in the wider community.”
