Farleys Solicitors have created three new roles at their offices in East Lancashire. Sally Eastwood joins the commercial team to assist the employment and litigation teams after the completion of her training contract whilst Ruth Kennedy and Katy Parkinson have been awarded roles as trainee solicitors at the practice.
Despite the general trend for firms having been to cut back on their trainee solicitor programmes in recent years, Farleys have continued to take on new trainees, currently with eight working across the firm’s six offices.
Jonathan Bridge, Partner and Training Principle at Farleys commented:
“Investing in the future of the legal profession remains an important part of what we do at Farleys. All but two of the firm’s current Partners trained here and as such, we recognise the value of home-grown talent”.
Farleys was recently ranked amongst the top 20 solicitors firms in the UK for its trainee solicitor programme. The survey, which is completed by current trainee solicitors at the firm, saw Farleys awarded as ‘winners’ in an impressive seven categories; particularly being commended for providing trainees with a high level of client contact, and being a friendly firm, with one respondent commenting that ‘the partners are very approachable’.
