It has recently been reported that two more teachers who worked at a top private school are facing significant custodial sentences after being found guilty of sexually abusing pupils.

Five teachers from Christ’s Hospital School have now been convicted after police investigated complaints made by 22 former students.

James Husband, 68 has been convicted of five charges of indecent assault on a girl at Christ’s Hospital School.

The school’s former head of house, Gary Dobbie, 66, was also convicted of 15 counts involving multiple offences against boys and girls as young as 12.

Both perpetrators await sentence.

The abuse took place between 1990 and 2001.

Farleys Solicitors act on behalf of many victims that have suffered similar abuse by teachers.  We have successfully presented claims against the Local Authority as a result of the abuse suffered by them which has had a significant and catastrophic impact upon their lives.

Claims will be presented against the Local Authority as they are legally responsible for the actions of a teacher.

Whilst we realise that this will never rectify past events, pursuing a claim can often help to ensure that our clients finally bring a sense of closure to their ordeals and provide valuable resources to fund medical treatment going forward.

If you or a loved one have been a victim of sexual abuse, we would welcome hearing from you.  We appreciate that it is often difficult to talk about what has happened and our team of compassionate solicitors are available to support you through this traumatic period.

Farleys Solicitors specialise in abuse work and can be contacted in the strictest of confidence to discuss matters by telephone on 0330 034 6430 or send your enquiry through our online system.
