We are wanting to raise awareness today for a special little girl named Ava. Her mother, Kelly Stokes, is a family law solicitor at Heaney Watson in Liverpool. Ava, who is only 2 years old, was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of cancer in January of this year. She has undergone the most intensive treatment including high doses of chemotherapy at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Despite the draining side effects Ava is said to have kept smiling throughout. Today Ava was due to have a mammoth operation.
Heaney Watson have been travelling to law firms and barrister’s chambers throughout the North West to take photographs of members of the legal profession sporting #4Ava t-shirts in an effort to not only raise support for Ava and her family for today but to also raise awareness and funds for Alder Hey.
Farleys want to show their support and sported the said t-shirts this Monday at our Blackburn office.
A last minute decision appears to have been made which means that Ava’s operation will not go ahead today. Whatever the reasons may be for this our thoughts go out to Ava and her family and we hope that she continues to win her fight.
