The Farleys Foundation

Farleys Foundation

Farleys’ commitment to supporting charitable causes and local communities gave rise to the creation of The Farleys Foundation in September 2018 by Partners and Employees at the firm.

The Foundation (Charity number: 1179765) was set up as a way to pool resources to ensure maximum benefit to our chosen charities.

As well as requests from the community, the teams at Farleys are encouraged to suggest beneficiaries for donations as well as get involved in fundraising for the charity. The Farleys Foundation really is a team effort.

So far, causes to have benefited from the Farleys Foundation include;

COVID-19 appeals – During the coronavirus pandemic,  we have been fortunate enough to be able to make charitable donations to a number of charities in our local communities including Preston-based Cash for Kids, Maundy Relief in Accrington, Mustard Tree which has locations in Manchester and Salford, Blackburn Food Bank, and Burnley Together, after each cause ran appeals for help following an increase in demand for their services during the COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent lockdown.

Nightsafe, Blackburn – we donated £2,500 to kickstart Nightsafe’s recent fundraising appeal launched to raise funds lost as a result of the coronavirus outbreak

Farleys and Support Dogs UKSupport Dogs UK –  we are currently sponsoring a support dog through this fantastic charity who train assistance dogs to transform the lives of adults and children affected by epilepsy, autism and disability.

Rosemere Cancer Foundation – as longstanding supporters of this fantastic local charity, we pledged to raise £10,000Farleys Solicitors Rosemere Pledge over the course of a year through various initiatives and fundraising events

Cash for Kids – Farleys are longstanding supporters of the work done by Cash for Kinds and the Farleys Foundation stepped in to reimburse Cash for Kids who faced losing all of the proceeds of their annual variety show after Preston Guild Hall entered administration on 5 June 2019.

Emmaus Burnley - Farleys DonationChristmas Campaigns –  alongside our firm’s annual Christmas collections for local charities, we also make a financial donation to support the valuable work that these charities do in our local community

PH7 Life – recently donated £500 to local mental health charity PH7 LIFE, as part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to its employees and the local community.

Cancer Help Preston  – have benefitted from financial support from the Farleys Foundation to help the vital work they do in the Preston area

HCPT –  we recently made a donation to this registered charity offering pilgrimage holidays, for disabled and disadvantaged people from around the UK, so that two children were able to

go away on holiday with the group

In addition we have supported a number of staff and their families with individual fundraising challenges for charities such as

  • Cancer Research UK
  • The One Woman at a Time Fund
  • Prostate Cancer UK
  • The Little Princess Foundation

The Foundation has also supported a number of individual causes though financial grants to help those in need including funding much needed disability equipment and household items for families in need through no fault of their own.
