Two solicitors at Farleys have been recognised with places on the shortlist at the Insider Young Professionals Awards 2025.
Corporate solicitor Amy Duncan has been placed on the shortlist for Young Corporate Lawyer of the Year while Associate Partner and commercial property solicitor Molly Greenwood has been shortlisted for Young Lawyer of the Year.
Amy’s experience with Farleys’ corporate law team began when she was just 7 years old and her parents instructed the firm to act in the sale of their business. 7 years later, Amy returned to the team, this time for work experience after developing an interest in corporate law. She then returned annually for work experience while studying before joining full-time as a commercial executive in 2020.
Amy was then awarded a place on the firm’s training programme where she completed two years of experience before qualifying in 2022. Over the last 2 and a half years, Amy has become an invaluable member of the corporate law team, advising business owners on the sales, acquisitions, mergers, management buyouts, restructures and formations of their businesses. Partner and head of the corporate team, Debbie King, described Amy as “extremely intelligent, diligent and hard-working and always willing to go the extra mile for her clients or colleagues.”
Amy commented,
“I am really proud to be shortlisted alongside such talented corporate lawyers and to be recognised for my hard work. When I joined Farleys full time 5 years ago, I never would have believed where I would be today, running complex large transactions independently. Thank you to Debbie (Head of Corporate) for all her support over the years and for trusting me to now run transactions autonomously following years of training under her expertise. Thank you also to Richard Bell and the rest of the team at Farleys.”
Molly has been with Farleys for eight years, having joined as a commercial executive in 2017. Molly also trained with the firm before qualifying as a solicitor in 2020 and taking up a permanent role in the commercial property team, the department she had been part of when she first joined.
Molly has shown she is an excellent solicitor and mentor to her junior colleagues, which was recognised in her promotion to Associate Partner in 2023. She has also been described as “invaluable”, “reliable” and “consistently proactive” by her clients.
On her awards shortlisting, Molly commented,
“I am incredibly honoured to have been nominated for this award and over the moon to have been shortlisted. I feel so proud to have been recognised amongst such talented lawyers and can’t wait to attend the ceremony!”
