Family businesses play a pivotal role in Lancashire’s economy, forming the backbone of its commercial landscape and embodying values of resilience, trust, and community spirit.
These businesses, often passed down through generations, contribute significantly to local job creation, supply chain support, and in creating Lancashire’s identity. From small artisan firms to large-scale manufacturers, family-run businesses span diverse sectors such as agriculture, retail, hospitality, and engineering, reflecting the county’s economic vibrancy.
Farleys Solicitors is proud to be a part of shining the spotlight on the best family businesses in Lancashire through sponsorship of the Family Business Award at the Red Rose Awards 2026.
The Red Rose Awards, organised by Lancashire Business View, is an annual event celebrating business excellence across Lancashire. It brings together companies of all sizes and sectors to showcase achievements, encourage trade within the county, and foster collaboration.
The awards feature multiple categories, a rigorous judging process, and culminate in a high-profile ceremony at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, attracting over 1,000 attendees.
Stephen Bolton, Business Development Manager at Farleys commented,
More than 80% of businesses in Lancashire are family owned which shows how important these companies are for both the stability and growth of our region. Farleys is a proud Lancashire firm and we’re pleased to play our part in celebrating the success of our peers.
I’d urge any family-owned business to enter and shout about your achievements, but be quick, the deadline is fast approaching.
We’re looking forward to celebrating with everyone at the award ceremony in March.
Entries for the Red Rose Awards close on Friday 5th December. More information about the awards can be found on the Red Rose Awards website.
