Farleys Solicitors is inviting women from across the region to a program of events in the lead up to International Women’s Day, taking place across our offices in Preston, Wigan, and East Lancashire.

Following the success of last year’s Women of Winckley Square event, held at our office in Preston; this year we will be expanding our events across three days and three different locations to explore the history, present, and future of women in business, highlighting achievements and sharing insights from inspiring female leaders across the region.

Our event series will be taking place on:

  • Wednesday 4 March (Wigan) – 4.00pm–6.00pm
    Chairman’s Club, Brick Community Stadium
  • Thursday 5 March (Preston) – 4.00pm–6.00pm
    Farleys’ Office, Winckley Square, Preston
  • Friday 6 March (East Lancashire) – 9.00am–11.00am
Farleys’ Office, Shuttleworth Mead Business Park, Padiham

During the series, attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from accomplished professionals and local leaders. Patricia Harrison of Friends of Winckley Square will deliver an engaging talk on “A Woman’s Lot in a Man’s World” at our Preston event, exploring the contributions of women in local history and reflecting on the progress achieved today. Stacey Copeland, former professional boxer and footballer, will lead our Wigan event with a powerful session titled “Redefining Resilience”, focusing on confidence, authenticity, and the resilience required to succeed in business.

Our East Lancashire panel will share honest reflections on leadership, career progression, and lessons learned along the way. Discussions will cover key topics such as authentic leadership, values-driven decision making, confidence building, raising your profile, and influencing at a strategic level. Attendees will also hear practical strategies and inspirational stories designed to empower women at every stage of their careers.

Each event will provide an excellent opportunity to connect, collaborate, and exchange ideas with peers from across the region. Farleys is committed to championing female talent, fostering meaningful networks, and creating spaces where professional women can celebrate achievements and share learning.

We look forward to welcoming attendees to these thought-provoking and inspiring sessions, which promise to spark conversation, ignite innovative ideas, and strengthen professional networks across Lancashire.
