The annual Legal 500 results are out and we are delighted to have maintained our rankings across eight practice areas for another year, with some fantastic recommendations and testimonials for our team and solicitors.
In General Crime and Fraud, our team have been consistently ranked as a tier one firm for more than a decade. Led by Paul Schofield, who is ranked as a leading individual’ in the guide, the team are recommended as “a fantastic team, always willing to go the extra mile for the client’. Associate Partner Bridgette Hibbert is also mentioned alongside Paul as a leading individual and “just incredibly hardworking. A team that is second to none.” The guide also notes Jonathan Taylor as a recommended lawyer.
Our personal injury experts are also enjoying the same praise, maintaining a tier two ranking and a leading individual recommendation for Jonathan Bridge once again. The guide reports that “Farleys has one of the strongest teams representing survivors of child sexual abuse and neglect” and ‘Jonathan Bridge is truly an exemplary member of the legal profession, he has a clear understanding of his field and can convey such with ease and care, as it’s a highly sensitive area of expertise.’ Kelly Darlington “provides powerful and fearless representation of families” and is highly recommended for her work by clients. Michael Corrigan and Nick Molyneux are recommended lawyers.
Farleys’ family team, led by Antonia Love are also ranked in tier two for the North West and delighted with recommendations such as “Clients are reassured by the highly personalised and effective service offered… What shines through is that clients are instilled with a lot of confidence in the clear and pragmatic advice offered by every file handler with whom I have worked. Farleys are a joy to work with.” Ian Brunt and Angharad Bentley are also recommended.
From a corporate and commercial perspective, we are also ranked as tier two once again with fantastic comments such as “Farleys have a great team of people and whoever you speak to at the practice knows where the individual projects are up to. Even if the relevant person isn’t available, there is always someone on hand to talk to and take time to find out what you need and get someone to resolve the query’, and recommendations for Debbie King and Richard Bell.
Our regional commercial litigation, commercial property, insolvency and sports law teams have all maintained their rankings from last year, with recommended lawyer accolades for Daniel Draper, Ian Liddle, Kieran O Connor, Stephen Greenwood, Tom O Neill, Rachel Harrison, and Mark Hague. A selection of their feedback includes:
“Farleys has a diverse practice which has enabled me to use different departments which include litigation, company law and conveyancing. It has provided me a one stop shop over an incredibly tough few years. Farleys work on the client and solicitor relationship which I consider important and which helps to avoid risks or misunderstandings that could arise.”
“Daniel Draper has a deep knowledge and has gone above and beyond and provided advice outside of the case he has been working on. With Daniel I do not feel that I am just a part of the profit and loss account and more of a respected client”
“I principally deal with Rachel Harrison, who is extremely knowledgeable, hardworking and very client-focused. She clearly punches above her weight and can deal with a full range of commercial disputes confidently and competently.’
“Mark Hague is a proactive, smart and commercial insolvency solicitor who achieves the desired result. He’ll cut to the chase with the aim of bringing the matter to a conclusion sooner rather than later.”
