Cookie Monster.docx1Last Sunday saw the return of the annual Turkey Trot to Hurst Green. The fun run, which was this year sponsored by Farleys, saw 197 contestants from all over Lancashire take on a gruelling 4.9 mile cross country run across fell and wood.

Farleys were represented by partner Paul Corrigan, inquest solicitor Kelly Darlington, and litigation executive Katie Fox from the Blackburn office.

Paul joined in the festivities, completing the course dressed as the infamous Honey Monster! Despite the cumbersome costume, Paul came in 75th place out of the 197 participants in just under 45 minutes. Kelly Darlington followed closely on his tail, crossing the finish line after 50 minutes along with Katie Fox.

When commenting on the race Paul Corrigan said: “It was a great event for everyone involved in the fun run, it’s nice to see everyone in the local community out and enjoying themselves.”

The event was concluded with a beer reception – all participants were presented with a bottle of beer as they crossed the finish line, a welcome refreshment after such a tasking race.

The Turkey Trot is just one of the local events Farleys Solicitors sponsor in Blackburn and the Lancashire area. We are pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring the Blackburn Beer Festival again in May 2015. More information on this will follow in the New Year.
