The team in Burnley has today launched an in house fundraiser as part as the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal.
Staff in Burnley (one of three Farleys offices supporting Mission Christmas alongside Accrington and Blackburn) brought some Christmas cheer as they dressed up in Christmas jumpers and fancy dress to help raise awareness of the cause. Each member of the team also brought in a gift as part of the campaign to bring a moment of happiness to a disadvantaged child in the Lancashire area this Christmas.
As part of the appeal the Burnley office, along with the firm’s Accrington and Blackburn offices, is acting as an allocated drop off point for Cash for Kids annual Christmas campaign. Members of the local community are encouraged to join the appeal and help those children living in poverty in their area by donating a new unwrapped gift suitable for a child aged 0-18 years by Monday 15th of December. All presents received by Farleys will be delivered directly to Cash for Kids who will then wrap and distribute them back into the surrounding areas.
Cash for Kids is a network of charities that work together to bring relief to local communities with high rates of child poverty.
Head of Abuse Claims, Jonathan Bridge, said: “It’s great to be involved in such a fantastic cause and help those suffering in our local community. Christmas is meant to be a joyous time of year for all, but often those less fortunate than ourselves can be over looked in the holiday festivities.
“The Cash for Kids appeal gives a voice to disadvantaged and neglected children that go unnoticed within our community and is a cause all of us here are very proud to don our Christmas jumpers for and support.”
