Congratulations to our Crime Department which was declared ‘Crime Team of the Year’ at the esteemed Manchester Legal Awards. Held by Manchester Law Society and Manchester Evening News, the awards highlight the calibre of local talent across all sectors of the legal profession.
The prestigious event was attended by hundreds of Manchester’s leading solicitors and barristers. Eighteen awards to celebrate the finest of the city’s legal firms and individuals were handed out in total.
Paul Schofield, partner and head of Crime with particular responsibility for Business Crime, Fraud and Regulatory Defence commented on the evening’s result:
“We are obviously delighted with tonight’s outcome. The calibre of the competition as always at the Manchester Legal Awards is of an exceptional standard, so to be named Crime Team of the Year is an outstanding achievement.
“To receive this award is to achieve recognition of the commitment, tireless effort and very high level of expertise we have shown in representing our clients over the past 12 months. Last year we were very proud to reach the final, but to go one step further this time is just fantastic and a credit to the whole of the Crime Department. It has been wonderful to see the team go from strength to strength and hopefully will mark the start of yet another strong year for Farleys.”
This sentiment was reiterated in the judges speech as they named Farleys winners of ‘Crime Team of the Year’, stating that the firm “demonstrated a real team ethos as well as a good variety of work conducted to the highest standards.”
