Farleys’ family law department has added a new solicitor to their ever-growing team with the appointment of Katy Parkinson. Katy joins the award winning team, which covers family law matters across the whole of the North West, after completing her training contract with the firm. The news of Katy’s appointment comes just weeks after the announcement of Ian Brunt as a new partner to the department.
Since joining the firm in 2009 Katy has excelled in all aspects of private law; undertaking seats across a range of departments but showing a particular aptitude for family law. Upon qualification Katy has taken up a permanent position with the Blackburn based family law team, headed up by Antonia Love.
Advising in all aspects of family law Katy plans to specialise in highly emotive and sensitive issues regarding child law and domestic abuse cases. Katy’s expertise also extends into the complex area of high value divorce proceedings and financial remedies.
