RR PR photoFollowing on from the success of our exclusive ladies event last autumn, Farleys and private investment firm Investec took part in a formal cheque presentation where Rueben’s Retreat was gifted with the final fundraising amount. The glamourous fundraising event, which was attended by business women from Greater Manchester and Lancashire last October, raised a total of £2,863.50.

Rueben’s Retreat provide retreats to families across the UK with terminally ill children helping to relieve the some of the distress they face. Founded by Nicola Graham, who sadly lost her son Rueben at the age of 23 months, the charity also provides bereavement support and counselling to help families dealing with the traumatic event of losing a child.
Partner and head of Family Law, Antonia Love commented on the success of the event: “We are always looking to support charities within our local community and the story behind Rueben’s Retreat really touched us.

“The ladies at Rueben’s Retreat do a truly amazing job supporting families dealing with terminally ill children, helping them to find peace through what is understandably an extremely difficult time. It is a cause which is very close to our hearts and we are proud to support a charity that makes a monumental difference to struggling families.

“We look forward to seeing how this money will help them with future projects, and wish them all the best. Once again we would like to thank our guests for their continued support and generous donations that helped us to raise such an impressive amount.”
