Farleys’ corporate team have advised the shareholders of a market leading provider of same day vehicle repairs in the sales of shares to Chiltern Capital.

Rapid Repair Network Limited was founded in 2018 from its headquarters in Southampton, and has since grown its capacity to be able to provide 10,000 same-day repairs per year to insurers, accident management companies and fleets across the UK. The investment secured from Chiltern Capital will allow the firm to drive further growth.

Our corporate law team led by Partner Debbie King advised on the sale and investment aspects of the deal, assisted by solicitor Amy Duncan and trainee solicitor Amy Jones, with Partner Victoria Mitchell advising on the employment aspects. The transaction enabled non-management shareholders to exit with the senior management team retaining a significant equity holding moving forwards.

Chiltern will now play an active role in supporting managing director Rob Hawes and his management team to drive further growth for the business. Additional debt funding to support this growth was secured from ThinCats.

Rob Hawes, Founder and Managing Director of Rapid Repair Network said,

“It’s an exciting time for Rapid Repair Network as we’re looking to build on our momentum and continue our growth trajectory. It was important that we found not just an investor to supply capital, but a partner that will support us on the next phase of our growth journey, and from the outset Chiltern stood out as the investor to do just that.”

The shareholders of Rapid Repair Network were advised by Debbie King, Amy Duncan and Amy Jones of Farleys’ corporate team, Victoria Mitchell of Farleys’ employment team, alongside Ryan Symonds and Ed Jones of FRP Corporate Finance.

Rob added,

“We’re very grateful for the support and advice received from Debbie and the team at Farleys. Their patience, attention to detail and tenacity throughout the transaction was invaluable to us. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Debbie and Farleys to any business owners looking for expert, down to earth legal advice on this type of transaction.”

Debbie King commented,

“It was a pleasure to assist Rob and his fellow shareholders at Rapid Repair Network on this exciting next step for the business. The investment from Chiltern will ensure their ambitions for growth can be achieved and we look forward to seeing the progress they make.”
