Farleys last week teamed up with wealth management firm and private bank Investec to host a fundraising event in aid of children’s charity Rueben’s Retreat.
The ladies evening, held at Investec’s Manchester office, raised over £2,200 for the charity, which helps the families of terminally ill children to gain access to the support and assistance they need.
The fundraising evening was attended by 70 clients and contacts who were treated to an exclusive evening of shopping from retailers including designer fashion company Sunday Best, luxury chocolatiers Cocoa Cabana, Melt Candles, Antonia’s Accessory Boutique and The Woodland Spa. T Wright Wines and Thyme Out Deli catered the event, providing a delicious selection of champagne and canapés.
Champagne flowed throughout the course of the evening as guests mingled and shopped, eagerly awaiting the draw of the raffle. All raffle prizes were generously donated by the hosts and retailers and included a gorgeous Vivienne Westwood handbag, which had sparked a considerable amount of interest.
Antonia Love, Head of Family Law at Farleys commented on the event’s success:
‘I am delighted that the joint forces of Farleys Solicitors LLP and Investec have combined to raise such a significant amount of money and publicity for Reuben’s Retreat – a truly worthy cause. An evening of shopping and champagne ensured all those who attended had a wonderful evening in support of such a deserving charity.’
The event, a first for Investec and Farleys Solicitors, is hopefully the first of many more to come hosted by both companies.
