We are delighted to announce that Farleys’ newest partner Stephen Greenwood has once again been recognised for his contribution towards the firm and the legal sector as a whole, having been shortlisted for this year’s Insider Young Professionals Awards 2019.
Stephen is one of seven legal professionals to have made the shortlist for the Young Lawyer of the Year award. The awards, which are now in their 15th year, celebrate the contribution of young professionals in the region across a wide range of sectors including accounting, finance, marketing, property, and HR.
Over the past two years, Stephen has progressed from Associate Partner to Equity Partner at Farleys alongside heading up the team in our recently opened Preston offices on Winckley Square. Stephen has been instrumental in increasing the firm’s profile across Preston. He regularly attends seminars and networking events alongside assisting businesses across the region on commercial matters, with a focus on commercial property transactions including commercial leases, development agreements, and landlord and tenant work.
Stephen, who started his career with Farleys as a trainee solicitor, has previously been a finalist in Lancashire Business View’s Young Uns Awards in 2015 having built up an “impressive client base” at a young age. Outside of work, Stephen sits on the executive board at local Lancashire charity, Cash for Kids.
On the news of his shortlisting, Stephen commented;
I am delighted to have been shortlisted amongst such a highly rated group of solicitors. I am grateful to Farleys for all their support since I joined as a trainee in 2006 which has enabled me to develop my career within such a fantastic firm which I am proud to call my own.
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 4th April at the Midland Hotel, Manchester. We wish the best of luck to all finalists.
