Farleys’ annual St Patrick’s Day fundraiser took place on Friday 15th March in aid of local charity Cash for Kids.

Over 100 clients and friends of Farleys were hosted at Holmes Mill, Clitheroe for an afternoon of food, live music and a pint or two of Guinness.

While the event was an excellent opportunity to network and catch up with business contacts the main aim, as always, was to raise as much money as possible through a raffle and auction.

Raffle and auction prizes were kindly donated by Ceberus Asset Management, Leonard Curtis Group, Beever and Struthers, Urban Regen, Accrington Stanley FC, Mattioli Woods, Haworths Accountants, Handelsbanken, Lancashare, G Parker Engineering Ltd, Lancashire Business View, Cassons, Graham Harker, Barclays and Natwest.

Prizes up for grabs included football tickets, tickets to shows, golf fourballs, vouchers, hampers, bottles of fizz, and sportswear.

Thanks to generous auction bids and raffle entries, the event raised a total of £4,405 for Cash for Kids. This total has been topped up by the Farleys Foundation making a grand total of £5,000 donated to help disabled and disadvantaged children in Lancashire.

Ian Liddle, Managing Partner at Farleys, commented;

“This was our 14th year of hosting a St Patrick’s Day fundraiser and every year our guests always dig deep for Cash for Kids, a cause we are proud to support. We are delighted that this year has once again broken the previous year’s record total and would like to say a heartfelt thanks to everyone who came along.”

Nikki Thompson, Charity Manager at Cash for Kids, added;

“We are absolutely overwhelmed by how much has been raised at the annual Farleys St Patricks Day event.  We value the support and advice that all the team at Farleys give to our charity.  This amount of money will make a real difference to children in the local community.

“We have put the donations to work through our Spring Grant Round where we have been able to help many children and organisations including new furniture for Burnley Boys and Girls Club, school uniform for the School Uniform Bank and craft and play materials for Youth Voice at Lancashire hospital.  We made individual grants for intensive physiotherapy sessions, specialist prams, sensory equipment, clothing and beds.”

As part of Farleys’ Corporate Social Responsibility plan, we organise and support a number of fundraising events every year. To keep up to date with upcoming events, please sign up to our mailing list.
