Farleys Solicitors are once again supporting local charities in the community this Christmas, by collecting essential items and gifts for those living in poverty over the festive period.
Farleys’ Christmas charity collection campaign has become an annual tradition across the firm, seeing staff and supporters collect hundreds of non-perishable food items, gifts, clothing, and more over the years.
This year, with their newest addition to the Farleys Solicitors Family, Mulderrigs in Rawtenstall, the firm will now be collecting in all seven offices, for six local charities.
The charities being supported by the collection are:
Lancashire Women, Accrington – A leading charity supporting women in Lancashire, helping improve their lives and break through the barriers they face.
Nightsafe, Blackburn – A homeless charity for young people, providing a roof over their heads in a safe environment. Treating young homeless people with dignity, kindness and respect to help them achieve their potential.
Church on the Street, Burnley – A faith in action charity that lifts people out of poverty while providing a space for worship.
Wood Street Mission, Manchester – A children’s charity helping children and families living on a low income in Manchester and Salford.
Cash for Kids, Preston – A children’s charity helping improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people, affected by poverty, illness, neglect or with additional needs.
The RAFT Foundation, Rossendale – A food bank charity who serve and support the community of Rossendale.
Ian Liddle, Managing Partner at Farleys commented,
The cost of living crisis in the last year has meant that many families on low incomes are often having to choose between eating and heating. This means that Christmas is a luxury that is completely unaffordable for some.
The charities we are collecting for make a positive impact on their local communities over the festive period. Whether that’s making sure that children wake up to presents on Christmas day, or simply providing warm shelter and a hot meal to those in need. We would like to encourage everyone, where they can, to donate and help support these amazing charities.
