The Blackburn Incorporated Law Association (BiLA) held its annual dinner at Northcote at the Rovers in Blackburn on Friday the 2nd of February. With the help of some of the team here at Farleys, the event brought together over 200 legal professionals from across the region.

A delicious dinner was enjoyed and a live band provided the entertainment to guests while they mingled with old friends and reflected on the past year.

As well as the chance to socialise, there was also a serious point of the event, to raise as much as we could for the BiLA’s chosen charity which this year was Rosemere Cancer Foundation who support world class cancer treatment in our area.

Following the final count by Rosemere, we are extremely pleased to announce that the BiLA Annual Dinner 2018 has raised more than £1,800.

Antonia Love, partner at Farleys Solicitors commented,

“It is fantastic that we managed to raise so much money for such a worthwhile cause. We know that without charitable donations such as these, Rosemere is not able to achieve all it does for those who need their services most.  This is particularly important in their 20th anniversary year when this money will help to raise the £1.5m so urgently required for ground breaking projects which will help local cancer patients.  The BiLA dinner was such a success.  All involved are already looking forward to the next one!”

Dan Hill, Head of Fundraising at Rosemere said,

“To be supported by such an established and prestigious group like the BiLA is an honour for Rosemere. The monies raised by everyone’s generosity on the evening will make a big difference for local cancer patients by helping us to support the delivery of world class cancer treatment to patients from across Lancashire and South Cumbria.”
