Chambers and Partners is a leading independent professional legal research company which annually ranks firms and individuals across more than 200 jurisdictions based on extensive research to produce its Chambers and Partners Guides.

We’re pleased that five departments at Farleys along with five leaders of those teams have been ranked in the 2025 edition of the UK guide.

First up, our crime and financial crime departments have maintained their Band 1 ranking, in the North West and The Regions respectively, with head of the team Partner Paul Schofield also maintaining the top ranking. Paul, described in the feedback as “professional, calm, knowledgeable” and “simply a class act and an absolute go-to solicitor” has been ranked in the Chambers and Partners Guides for more than 20 years. Bridgette Hibbert, also a partner in the team, has been ranked in Band 2, marking an impressive 7th year in the rankings. Feedback for Bridgette said, “Bridgette Hibbert is switched on and cares about her clients.”

Also placed in Band 2 is our inquests team led by Kelly Darlington who has been ranked in Band 2. The rankings for the Inquests category are judged on a UK wide level and display the team’s national recognition for the important work they do in supporting bereaved families seeking answers following the death of a loved one. Kelly was commended for her “incredibly personable approach”.

Our personal injury team has been ranked in Band 3 in the North West while personal injury solicitor and head of our abuse claims department Jonathan Bridge has been recognised for his work in securing damages for survivors of abuse with a Band 2 ranking. This marks Jonathan’s 10th year of being recognised in the Chambers and Partners Guide, with feedback this year saying, “Jonathan provides exceptional care and compassion to the clients.”.

Finally, our family team has been placed in Band 4 in a newly created North West category for the practice area, merging Manchester and Surrounds with Liverpool and other regions. Antonia Love, head of the team and included in the rankings for 11 years, has been placed in Band 3. In the feedback gathered as part of the work by the researchers, Antonia was described as “always on the ball, reassuring and approachable.”

Our teams received lots of excellent feedback including:

“Farleys was brilliant and worked hard on my case. I couldn’t have asked for better, and they were always there when I needed them.”

Farleys is a top-class firm that represents its clients to the very best standards.

“A superb and seamless package of service is provided by the team at every level.”

Their attention to detail is absolutely flawless, and the depth of the team is great.

“The Farleys team is very approachable and respond very quickly.”

Paul Schofield commented,

“We’re extremely pleased to have been recognised in the Chambers and Partners rankings once again. While our main focus will always be our clients and securing a successful outcome for them, to receive this recognition for our work to be amongst the best of our peers is something we’re very proud of.”

We would like to thank the researchers for their hard work once again and thank you our clients and contacts who took the time to provide feedback for the researchers. We’re humbled by the comments as always.
