On the 31st of October the team at Farleys’ Manchester office took part in Caketober, raising a total of £105 for Forever Manchester. The team held a cake stall in the foyer of the office building and a ‘dress down’ day as part of the annual cake-based campaign.
Caketober is annual fundraising event held each October which encourages offices and businesses around Manchester to take part in a celebration of cake and fancy dress. Farleys were among one of the many companies in Manchester to take part in the fundraising event and hope we were able to help the charity surpass last year’s total campaign of £4,000.
All of the staff in the office participated in the event, bringing in a delicious selection of homemade and store bought treats. We were joined by other offices in the building including The Chase, Leonard Curtis and Inc, who we would like to thank for their generous donations.
We were also joined on the day by Forever Manchester’s Jean Mills, who even had a go at selling with us!
Forever Manchester provides funding for numerous projects which have helped transform the lives of local people, developing skills and employment opportunities as well as giving them a sense of belonging. All of the proceeds raised during Caketober will go towards helping Forever Manchester reach their fundraising milestone of £50 million, an infinity fund which will be used to ensure that community projects established by the charity can continue.
Farleys Solicitors LLP is proud to support Forever Manchester’s fundraising efforts; we thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to give back and support our local community and we look forward to taking part in the charity’s future campaigns.
