We are delighted to announce that three members of staff from Farleys Solicitors have been shortlisted for Downtown Lancashire in Business’ Women in Business Awards 2017.

In the shortlist, announced on 15 September, Antonia Love, Debbie King and Reta Madgin progressed to the voting round of the awards in the categories of “Decade of Excellence”, “Legal Advisor of the Year” and “Marketer of the Year” respectively.

Each has expressed their thanks to those who have recognised their hard work enough to nominate them. Let’s take a closer look at the three nominees.

Antonia Love

Antonia has been a partner at Farleys for 14 years, and works from the firm’s Blackburn office, Antonia heads up the family law department and is committed to assisting clients with all matters relating to family law including divorce & separation, child law, and marital agreements. She is also a member of Resolution, the Law Society’s Children’s Panel, Child Concern, and the Association of Lawyers for Children.

Debbie King

Debbie is a partner at Farleys and heads up the firm’s corporate department working with businesses and private clients on all aspects of corporate law, including company acquisitions and sales, business restructures, mergers & demergers, shareholder agreements and more. Her 19 years of experience have been recognised over the years with a number of awards including Lancashire Dealmaker Personality of the Year and Best Legal Advisor of the Year.

Reta Madgin

Reta joined Farleys as Marketing Manager back in January 2016 with ten years of marketing experience under her belt. Since then she has continued to build the firm’s reputation across Lancashire and the wider North West through a wide range of marketing campaigns and initiatives across Farleys’ six office locations. The Chartered Marketer has also used her expertise in digital marketing for a large website redesign and improving Farleys’ online presence. Reta has also managed the organisation of a number of charity events as part of Farleys’ £10k pledge in aid of Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

The next stage of the awards process is a voting round. Voting is open to everyone and can be done through the Downtown in Business website here. We would love it if you could take the time to vote for Antonia, Debbie, and Reta. The overall winner will be decided 50% on a judging panel and 50% on your votes to every votes is important.

The winner will be announced at the Women in Business Awards Dinner on Thursday 23rd November at the Villa Green Hotel in Preston. Good luck to all nominees!
