Farleys Solicitors is to become the host firm for meetings of the Inquest Lawyers Group, the first firm to do so outside of London. Inquest solicitors from throughout the North will be able to attend the discussion group held at Farleys’ Manchester city centre office, the first of which will be held in November.
Inquest is a charitable organisation providing help and assistance to bereaved family members who find themselves at the heart of the inquest process. Their members include inquest solicitors from throughout England and Wales, who regularly meet to discuss ways to improve access to justice, developments in the law, and access to funding for inquests.
Solicitors attending the meeting at Farleys will be able to collaborate with fellow inquest practitioners in the North of England, as well as with London based solicitors, who will join the meeting via videolink.
Gemma Vine, Inquest solicitor in Manchester commented:
“We are delighted to be the Northern host venue for the Inquest Lawyers Group discussion meetings. Myself and several inquest lawyers I know often struggle to attend Inquest group meetings in London due to heavy work schedules. Providing a convenient base for inquest solicitors in the North of England should allow people to attend meetings more frequently, therefore improving the quality and range of discussion that can be covered”.
