Farleys Solicitors are to sponsor an elective on the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at BPP Law School in Manchester this coming academic year. Farleys will sponsor the family law elective on the course, and in addition, will also award the prize of a week’s work experience in their leading family law department to one lucky student from this year’s intake.
The family law elective covers a wide range of aspects, including the law relating to divorce, the formation and dissolution of civil partnerships, the division of family property and finances and aspects of public and private children law.
On the elective sponsorship, Jonathan Bridge, Partner and Training Principle at Farleys commented:
“The skills learned during the LPC are so important for your future career as a solicitor. Recruiting law firms no longer accept trainees just on the merit of their legal knowledge – commercial awareness and client interaction are paramount, as is demonstrable work experience. We wanted to get involved with the training of future solicitors to aid in the development of these key skills. Sponsorship with BPP in Manchester and offering a work experience placement to an LPC student allows us to play our part in this”.
