This year, Farleys Solicitors have once again been supporting the Christmas Wishes Appeal which has been run and supported by SAMS at the EnergyZone along with Community and Business Partners.
Our Blackburn office was transformed into a festive grotto (drop off point) for donations to the gift appeal in the run up to Christmas. We have encouraged staff, business contacts and members of the public to donate Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children in Lancashire.
In the UK one in three children live in poverty making Christmas a luxury that many families simply cannot afford. So the local community have pulled together to spread a little bit of happiness to families who are struggling at Christmas time. They have also worked to ensure that all donations made are fed directly back into the local community.
A Big Thank You for Your Donations!
As one of the drop off points for the Christmas Wishes Appeal, we have received dozens of donations of toys and other gifts for families in need. Even a small gift could go a long way to putting a smile on a family’s face so we would like to take this opportunity to thank every one of you who has donated to this extremely worthwhile cause.
The Christmas Wishes Appeal has now closed in order for the presents to be delivered in time for Christmas but we will be announcing more opportunities to get involved in fundraising activities in 2017 so keep an eye on our website and social media for details of these events when they happen and how you can join in.
