Four Farleys’ departments and five solicitors have been recognised in the Chambers and Partners guide for 2020.
The Chambers and Partners Guide covers over 50 cities and counties in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. The team of 85 researchers rank 5,227 law firm departments and 10,883 individuals based on strict criteria. We are therefore delighted to have been recognised once again.
This year, Farleys’ Crime and Financial Crime departments were ranked in the top band. The team were described as “diligent, skilful and just the kind of solicitors you would wish for yourself”.
Our Personal Injury department received a band 3 ranking in the Personal Injury: Mainly Claimant category and were praised on their “very good, client-centred relationships.”
The Family Law department has been highlighted as a Recognised Practitioner for Family/Matrimonial.
In the individual rankings, Paul Schofield, Partner and head of the firm’s Fraud and Business Crime department, has received his ranking, for the 16th consecutive year, in Band 1. One interviewee commented; “He has brilliant tactical sense and clients just adore him. He’s the perfect all-round package”and “has all the experience in the world.”
Bridgette Hibbert, Associate Partner in the Fraud and Business Crime team, has received a Band 2 ranking, as has the head of the Abuse team, Jonathan Bridge, who is also in the running for an award at the Personal Injury Awards this year. Bridgette was described as “absolutely excellent” and “a very strong advocate, a really good litigator and she’s had a strong reputation for a long time.” Jonathan was described as “approachable and sensitive,” with an “excellent technical knowledge and an ability to communicate clearly and in a way that can be understood.”
Antonia Love, Partner and head of the Family Law team has received a Band 3 ranking. Comments include that she is a “very experienced lawyer.
Finally Laura Walmsley, Associate Partner within the Fraud and Business Crime department has been highlighted as a Recognised Practitioner.
