This month marks a landmark occasion for not one but two Farleys’ partners as they celebrate an impressive 40 years at the firm.
Michael Corrigan, head of the Civil Litigation department and Paul Schofield who heads the Fraud and Business Crime department both joined Farleys Solicitors within weeks of each other in 1977.
Their dedication and expertise saw them progress from trainee solicitors to equity partners assisting in the growth and management of the firm. Over the past 40 years, Farleys itself has seen significant change and expansion across Lancashire and Manchester. We have opened offices in Accrington, Burnley, Manchester and Preston as well as expanding our headquarters in the Blackburn area.
Over that time, Michael and Paul have seen many different law changes too and have also been involved in high profile cases. No win no fee claims have changed the face of civil litigation matters and introduced a significant level of competitiveness among law firms which Michael and his team have successfully stayed abreast of.
Paul’s successes within his field have been recognised by the profession and clients, having been ranked continuously for many years in the Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500 guides as a top tier leading individual. His team was also named Crime Team of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards in 2015.
Of the celebration of his four decades at Farleys, Paul said:
“ I am proud to have been part of the success story that is Farleys Solicitors. I may be biased but we are regarded as one of the best firms of solicitors in the North West, if not the whole country. We have encountered and overcome many challenges over the years, and the reason we have been able to progress and remain a reliable and vibrant firm is because of the commitment, expertise and loyalty of our staff and partners.”
