Derek Jessop, aged 75 was recently sentenced at Preston Crown Court to 22 years in prison with four years extended licence.

The convicted paedophile had been found guilty in July of seven indecent assaults, three specimen charges of rapes to reflect the years of abuse and one attempted rape following a six week trial.

His four female victims, aged between 4 and 12 years old at the time, were sexually abused by him between the 1960’s and 2004.

After his arrest in October 2017, Jessop was charged and pleaded not guilty, claiming that the victims had colluded and conspired against him with money as a motive. Despite his assertion, a jury convicted him and he will now spend the rest of his life in prison.
