John Bradfield-Kay

Associate Partner

John is a Solicitor in the private client team at Farleys. He joined the firm in April 2025 as part of Farleys’ acquisition of Alker Ball Healds, having previously joined Alker Ball Healds in 2023.

He is experienced in assisting clients with a variety of private client matters including, Wills (including property protection/IPDI trust wills), Lasting Powers of Attorney, estate planning, grants of probate and grants of letters of administration, inheritance tax matters, administration of estates and post-death variations, and further trust matters, including preparing deeds for lifetime discretionary trusts and deeds of appointment or deeds of retirement of trustees.

John graduated from Lancaster University with a degree in History and Modern European Studies before deciding to pursue a career in law through a Graduate Diploma in Law at BBP Law School in Manchester and then the LPC at the College of Law. While studying, John worked as a Legal Assistant for a conveyancing firm in Southport.

After completing his studies, John worked in the employment law department for a firm in Liverpool, specialising in multiple equal pay claims against local authorities, before embarking on his training contract with the same firm. Once qualified, he joined another firm in Liverpool as a Private Client Solicitor. John worked at the firm for five years before moving in-house for more than six years as a Lead Case Manager.
