Farleys Solicitors have advised vaping retailer Totally Wicked as they continue to expand their UK footprint with the acquisition of the Vape & Juice retail estate of eleven stores across the South East.
The Blackburn based firm, which was established 11 years ago, was an early pioneer of vaping products and has developed its brand through over 150 Totally Wicked branded stores which has seen the business become the largest vaping retailer in the UK.
Corporate solicitor Charlotte Mills advised on the purchase of the assets and goodwill of Vape & Juice, as it transferred its wholly owned retail stores to the Totally Wicked Group, whilst Ashlea Thornton dealt with the commercial property aspects of the transaction including a number of licences to occupy, assign and new leases as appropriate.
Charlotte said,

The deal, which was completed over a one month period, allowed Vape & Juice to preserve employee jobs, as they turned the focus of the business and continued to trade as a vape retailer, a franchise network and manufacturer/distributor.
Vape and Juice co-founder David Mason stated after the deal’s completion. “The market has seen some real negative fall-out from unrelated US scare stories, which has really impacted some of the smaller independent vaping stores. Our first priority was to ensure jobs were saved and I am over the moon that another non-tobacco owned group could step in and make this possible. We have been a family run business from the outset, my late father helped me put the sign above the door, and Totally Wicked is another company that shares the same values.
