On Thursday 12th October, the team at Farleys had the pleasure of hosting our annual Fashion Fundraiser event in aid of Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

As per previous years, we partnered with Sunday Best in Rawtenstall to bring our attendees a fabulous night filled with glamour, fizz and fashion.

And fabulous it was, as the event had its best turn out yet! We successfully raised over £2,500 from both event tickets and raffle ticket sales, with all proceeds going to Rosemere Cancer Foundation for the fantastic work they do across the region. The final amount has been matched by the Farleys Foundation, which means in total we have raised over £5,000.

Our fundraiser started out almost a decade ago and since then, it has become somewhat of a highlight in the event calendar on Bank Street in Rawtenstall. As Farleys are now officially a Rossendale business, having now taken up residence a few doors down from Sunday Best, this year we were delighted to welcome clients and friends of Farleys and Mulderrigs to join us in aid of such a fantastic cause.

It was great to see every attendee leave with a smile on their face and a Farleys goody bag under their arm, which contained many goodies, including some tasty brownies from Rawtenstall’s Isa Bakes. Some lucky individuals even walked away with a great raffle prize too, including a luxury facial, prosecco afternoon tea for two, a Vivienne Westwood handbag, and many more…!

We thoroughly enjoyed the catwalk, which displayed Sunday Best’s new Autumn/Winter collection. We saw everything from cosy loungewear, to glimmering Christmas party frocks, with helpful tips along the way on how to brighten up your wardrobe in these cooler months.

However, we didn’t do this event in vain. Put all the glamour aside and at the heart of this event is an amazing charity who work wonders in our local community to bring world class cancer treatments and services to cancer patients from throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria being treated at Rosemere Cancer Centre.

The charity funds cutting-edge equipment, clinical research, staff training and innovative services and initiatives that the NHS cannot afford in order to make patients’ cancer journey more effective, comfortable and stress-free.

Susan Swire, fundraising manager for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, commented –

“When it comes to holding court over the catwalk, Farleys and fashion partner Sunday Best have created a fundraising event that’s the most sought after ticket in town. We are very grateful to have been beneficiary since Farleys’ first fashion fundraiser in 2013. The company became a Rosemere Cancer Foundation supporter in 2006 and since then, through this event and others, has raised more than £35,000 for our projects across Lancashire and South Cumbria.”

As ever, it has been an honour to raise money for Rosemere Cancer Foundation and to bring attention to the life-changing work they do every day.

A massive thanks to all those who attended and donated, we’ll see you next year!
