Staff from North West law firm Farleys Solicitors held court over the catwalk when they hosted a fashion show for clients and contacts at Rawtenstall’s Sunday Best that raised more than £1,600 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
The fashion show has become a much anticipated annual event. Now in its fourth year, guests were greeted with a glass of fizz, canapes and goody bags.
Following a welcome by partner and the firm’s Head of Family Law, Antonia Love, professional models and Farleys staff showcased the latest in autumn and winter wear. There was also a presentation by representatives of Canadian label Joseph Ribkoff.
The money raised by the fashion show will be put towards the creation of a new breast care boutique, which Rosemere Cancer Foundation is funding, within the new Breast Care Unit at Burnley General Hospital. Farleys has supported Rosemere since 2006 and over this time, it has raised £11,500 for the charity, not including its latest donation.
Antonia said: “As a law firm, we are involved in a various aspects of our clients’ lives, which makes us part of the fabric of our community and as such, we believe it is important we show our support for Rosemere, which also works at the heart of that same community.”
Rosemere Cancer Foundation spends the donations it receives on vital equipment, research and training that cannot be funded by the NHS.
The charity strives to bring world class cancer treatments and services to local cancer patients throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria via their local hospitals and the region’s three specialist treatment centres. These specialist centres are the Rosemere Cancer Centre at the Royal Preston Hospital, which provides all local radiotherapy treatment, Blackpool Victoria Hospital for blood cancers and the Royal Blackburn for liver cancers.
It also funds those things that can make the cancer journey a little more comfortable such as free access to complementary therapies for all newly diagnosed patients. For further information, visit its website at www.rosemere.org.uk
