FOR the 8th year in a row Paul Schofield, Partner and head of the business crime and special casework department, has been confirmed as a ‘Leader in the Field’ by Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession for next year.

Named under the categories of ‘Fraud: Criminal’ and ‘Crime’ for the 2010 edition of the publication, Paul’s work has again been recognised by the leading provider of directories to the legal profession. Chambers have 100 full-time researchers who interview thousands of lawyers and their clients around the world. This intensive, continuous research identifies the world’s leading lawyers and law firms – those which perform best according to the criteria most valued by clients. No lawyers can buy their way into their rankings.

Farleys will also be ranked, once again, as a specialist firm in the same two categtories when the 2010 edition is published later this year.

Upon hearing the news, Paul commented:

“I am personally delighted by this recognition which is a reflection not just of my work but more importantly the expertise, commitment and professionalism of the whole team here at Farleys. In 2009 we are proud to be ‘top ranked’ by Chambers UK and I hope that this is repeated when the 2010 edition is published in October.  We continually aim to ‘be the best’ and this recognition confirms that we are succeeding in that regard.’

The firm’s entries in Chambers can be found either online at http://www.chambersandpartners.com/ or in print in the Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession.
