Ian Brunt, Family Law, Farleys SolicitorsFarleys are delighted to announce that Ian Brunt, a former Partner from Haworth and Nuttall Solicitors in Blackburn, has left the practice to join our family law department.  Ian, who was at Haworth and Nuttall for 20 years where he was head of family law, joins Farleys’ growing family law team as an Associate Partner.  Ian will be based at our office on Richmond Terrace, Blackburn, working mainly on divorce, ancillary relief and children matters.

Commenting on the move, Ian said:

“I am very pleased to be joining a firm with such strength, depth and experience.  Farleys have an excellent reputation for family law in the North West and I am looking forward to working with the team to develop this further”.

Antonia Love, Partner and head of family law at Farleys commented:

“We are delighted to welcome Ian to the team.  His experience in divorce and children matters will be invaluable to us at this busy time of year”.

Ian Brunt becomes the third hire for Farleys’ family department in as many months.  Joanne Lever was appointed in November and paralegal Matthew Jepson, also previously of Haworth and Nuttall, joined the team at the start of January.

The family law department is now one of the largest in the North West, with a total of 35 staff including 20 fee earners across Farleys’ Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington and Manchester offices.  The department covers all areas of family law including divorce, separation, ancillary relief, children matters, child abduction, grandparents’ rights, forced marriage, civil partnerships and pre-nuptial agreements.
