The Chambers UK Guide for 2011 has been published and once again, Farleys has been recognised as one of the leading firms nationally.  The Chambers publication, widely regarded as one of the leading guides to the legal profession, independently ranks solicitors and law firms on the basis of client interviews and opinions from other lawyers.

Farleys Solicitors LLP has for the fifth year running been ranked number one for Criminal Law in the North West in the new edition of the Chambers Guide, with Partner and head of the Business Crime Unit at Farleys, Paul Schofield, also ranking number one on an individual basis in this area of law.

The publishing of this year’s directory marks the ninth year running that Farleys and Paul Schofield have been included in the Chambers Guide.  Recognised as a ‘Key Individual’, the guide highlights Paul Schofield as “not just a really impressive, quality lawyer, but also a very genuine and decent man.”

On a UK wide basis, Farleys’ serious fraud work also ranked highly, being placed amongst the top 20 national firms in the 2011 guide.

On the rankings, published last week, Paul Schofield comments:

“It is fantastic that our work in this area of law has been commended once again. The fact that this is the ninth year that we have been ranked in the Chambers Guide is testament to our consistently high standard of work and commitment to achieving results for our clients.  The whole criminal law team here is second to none and I am delighted that we continue to ‘mix it’ with the elite firms  nationally.”

“The noting of our ‘expanding business crime capabilities’ also highlights our growing prowess and reputation in the area of business crime, regulatory and fraud work.”
